CURRICULUM VITAE
Her artistic practice focuses on the experiences and perceptions of women as subjects. In her earlier works, she often began with her own body—exploring the shifting boundaries between inside and outside, between surface and what lies underneath. Through art, she recorded and transformed these sensations and traces as a way to face and process the memories and wounds held by the body.
Over time, her work has moved toward a more narrative-driven approach, centering on relationships and encounters in everyday life. While she has a background in stage design, it is language and storytelling that inspire her the most. Much of her work draws from novels and mythologies, unfolding through narrative forms. This attention to language brings a sense of poetry and theatricality into her work, while also opening space for engaging with the real world.
During art residencies, she continues to focus on local social issues—especially those related to women’s lives and gender structures. She approaches these experiences through the lens of her identity as a Taiwanese woman, responding to each place she inhabits while connecting with broader conversations across cultures.
